Scheme Classification 005J0715: Is that a FAQ?
Gamefaqs.com is
always looking for FAQs and walkthroughs for games that are rare and
obscure. What say we send in a completely falsified FAQ? I picked a
game called Gachaga Champ for Arcade. The most information
available online is that it's a dual-stick fighting/puzzle game where
you play minigames. You can play against a computer, or another player.
(A picture of the console is shown here)
Instruction:
1. Write up a brief description for a minigame.
Guidelines:
- There are two analog sticks per player, but the
picture shows no other buttons. Make something up that could involve
two analog sticks but no buttons.
- Assume the game is split-screen like two-player
tetris.
2. Try to make it mostly believable but throw in a
few oddities that someone who casually scans the work won't look for.
Japanese puzzle games are notoriously weird, so even if they see some
of this stuff it can still work.
3. E-mail
it to me at hyena@kiwibonga.com
I'll add it to the FAQ and post your information at this page. Try to
keep it consistent with other people's submissions. I may slightly edit
work to make it consistent, if necessary. Your unedited work will still
appear on this page.
This mission will be successful
if the FAQ appears on the site.
Submissions:
(Note: I need at least eight to do
this FAQ)
Turkey
Dinner - Me
Awesome Sling - Lynxtor
Rollerskater - Dan
Symphony Fight
Challenge! - Alex Browne
Grenade Attack! - Tom_D
Ballerina Ballistics- Chaos
Results:
I only got seven entries
(two of them are my own) but I don't think I'll be getting any more, so
I guess I'm done.
Here's what it looks like after editing.
Update: October 21, 2005
I uploaded the FAQ and it was rejected for being incomplete. (I stated
in the FAQ itself that it was an incomplete listing, since there were
only seven games.) So we'll need a bunch more entries on this FAQ
before we try sending it out again.
